MATERIALS & PROCESS

At Structured Green we pride ourselves on using quality materials that are sustainably produced, certified or reclaimed, recycled or recyclable. Our main intention is to build pieces that endure life’s use and last many lifetimes.

We have become “sourcing sleuths” finding unexpected places to gather reclaimed lumber, or salvaged metals. We’ve found local farmers with barn-fulls of years-old wood, and the left overs from locally shot movie sets.

We use water-based adhesives. Our finishes are food grade Tung Oil and local Beeswax.

Each of us serve as the company's own "Sustainability Director"; looking for ways to keep our business as mindful of our actions as possible. We do not have air conditioning (and that's saying A LOT for Savannah, GA) we are going 100% Carbon Neutral, we have dual flush toilets, a full recycling program and are running as close to a paperless office as possible.

Every element of our practice is carefully considered.
