006 Tall Sideboard

This long rectangular sideboard stands tall on slender legs. Inside, one central shelf divides the left half of the sideboard, while the right half consists of one central shelf followed by three slender stacked drawers. These generous and varied compartments create effective, organized storage in the dining area. Sliding doors with rebated handles conceal the goods within.
The cabinet top, base, side and internal dividing panels are manufactured from solid planks of American White Oak, connected together using wooden dowels and adhesive. Screws disguised with long grain dowels strengthen the main timber panel connections. The rear panel is manufactured from plywood with oak veneer on both sides. The panel is slotted into the rebated frame for a seamless connection.
The cabinet leg structure is also made from solid American White Oak with mortise and tenon joints. Drawer fronts are solid American White Oak attached to American Basswood drawer sides using dovetail joinery. The base panel of the drawers is made from plywood with a matching veneer, and this panel slots into rebates in the drawer sides for a seamless connection.
The top two drawers have an internal depth of 90mm (3.5").
The bottom drawer has an internal depth of 135mm (5.3").
All drawers have wooden runners.
This cabinet is delivered fully assembled and glued, except for the base. The base is delivered as a separate piece that needs to be installed using the fittings provided. This is approximately 10 minutes work. Please refer to assembly instructions provided at time of delivery.
